Privacy Policy

NodePager ("we," "us," or "our") is committed to protecting your privacy. This policy explains how we handle information when you use NodePager. NodePager is a staff paging app for dental and other offices. It is not a medical device. It replaces the earlier Node pager app. We collect no personal data from you.

What we do not collect

NodePager is fully decentralized. The devices in your office connect to each other directly, over your office's own Wi-Fi network or over Bluetooth. No data is sent to us, our servers (we have none), or any third parties over the internet.

We do not collect, access, store, or process personal information such as emails, phone numbers, locations, device IDs, or health data for our own use. No analytics, tracking, advertising, or third-party SDKs are used to collect data.

What is saved on your devices

The staff names, roles, colors, room names and settings you enter are saved on each device in your office, so every device shows the same board. They stay there until you reset the device in the app or delete the app. They are never sent to us. The Join PIN and Admin PIN are kept only as hashes, with the office key, in the device's keychain.

Who else can see something

Other devices on the same Wi-Fi can see that the app is running and the room names it announces. People nearby can see a Bluetooth office's name. Bluetooth traffic is encrypted with the office key.

Permissions

Local Network: to find your other office devices and send pages between them.

Bluetooth: only if your office chooses Bluetooth at setup.

Location: only to read the name of the Wi-Fi network the device is on. The app never reads or stores where you are.

Notifications: made on the device itself, with no push service.

Crash reports and diagnostics

If you have chosen to share analytics with app developers in your device's settings, Apple may send us anonymous crash reports. You control this in your device's settings.

Export Diagnostics shares a short list of network events, without names, PINs or page details, and only if you choose to send it. If you email us, we get your email address and what you write, and we use it only to answer you.

Deleting your data

To remove your data, reset the device in the app's Settings, then delete the app. iOS can keep a small amount of secure data (the office's PIN hashes and key) after an app is deleted, so reset the device in the app first.

Children's privacy

NodePager is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect data from children.
